National Transit Renewal Summit Slated for Friday, Aug. 27, 11:00 AM (ET); Please Register
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will hold a National Transit Renewal Summit as the culminating event of the FTA's series of listening sessions to promote best practices to improve ridership on transit systems across the nation. Over 45 speakers from transit agencies, industry partners and advocacy organizations joined more than 2,300 participants as part of the national conversation about what is working to increase ridership during the FTA's America’s Open and Transit's Open campaign across America this summer.
The National Transit Renewal Summit will showcase the "best of the best" from the three listening sessions with a moderated discussion among transit leaders in a "lightning roundtable" format. FTA will present a curated collection of best practices, resources and tools transit agencies can use to increase ridership while continuing to protect worker and rider safety, particularly important during this stage of the pandemic. The presentations, recordings and related materials from the three listening sessions are available on FTA's website.
