Kenneth A. Feldman
FTA Region 10 Acting Administrator
Kenneth "Ken" Feldman is the Deputy Regional Administrator for FTA's Region 10 in Seattle, WA. Region 10 awards approximately 250 grants annually worth around $750 million and oversees a portfolio of 600 grants worth $3 billion. Mr. Feldman has worked for FTA Region 10 since 2002, starting as a regional engineer and then as director of operations and program management prior to becoming the Deputy Regional Administrator.
Mr. Feldman worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) in Seattle, WA from 1993 to 2002. At EDA, Mr. Feldman managed grants for design and construction projects in California, Oregon, Idaho, Washington and Alaska. These grants covered a variety of infrastructure projects including business incubators, new road and public utilities for industrial parks, design work for the Alameda Corridor rail project in Los Angeles County and construction of a new campus for the California State University at Monterey Bay.
Between 1988 and 1993, Mr. Feldman served as a Navy Civil Engineer Officer in Pearl Harbor, HI. His duties included facilities management services on the Pearl Harbor Naval Base and the Naval Air Station at Barbers Point and construction management services in the Pearl Harbor Shipyard and on independent duty in the Solomon Islands.
Mr. Feldman obtained a Master’s Degree in Construction Management from the University of Washington and a Bachelor‘s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Feldman is a registered professional engineer in the State of Washington.
