New TrAMS and NTD Security Requirements and User Lockout
Date: 1/13/2017
Number: 2017-02
FTA has implemented new security requirements to the Appian platform that houses both TrAMS and NTD. The change requires users be locked out after 60 days of inactivity. The first lockouts started January 26, 2017. Users who have not logged into either TrAMS or NTD within the prior 60 days will be locked out, and users will be locked out after each 60-day period of inactivity. TEAM also had a similar security lockout function.
If a user gets locked out, he or she can initiate a request (via the applicable system) to the organization User Managers to assist with a lockout. Additionally, there will be a self-service function whereby users can use security questions to unlock their own accounts.
A new module has been created for you to set up your security questions. The module to establish your security questions is available now under your user profile. Please take action to promptly set up your security questions. Users who do not complete their security questions will receive a "task" to set up the questions and daily reminder notices until the questions are established or you have been locked out. For information on how to complete the security questions please refer to the How to Complete Your Security Questions TIP sheet. For more information about the security requirements, please refer to our Questions & Answers: 60-day lockout requirement document. Both documents are available on the FTA TrAMS Page.
The lockout feature went into effect on January 26, 2017. Your prompt attention is appreciated to ensure your continued use of the TrAMS and/or NTD.
