To educate communities about how transit agencies can coordinate with municipalities, public housing authorities and school districts to provide essential services in their communities, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)’s Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH) have created a unique partnership to encourage these activities and highlight the federal funding available to support them. 

The joint FTA-PIH Dear Colleague letter that highlights the initiative and the Administration’s continued commitment to support community and economic recovery in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
