FTA Fiscal Year 2022 Apportionments, Allocations, Program Information and Interim Guidance
In addition to providing the locations of FY 2022 apportionments tables and unobligated (or carryover) funds allocated under FTA discretionary programs from prior years, the FTA Fiscal Year 2022 Apportionments, Allocations, Program Information and Interim Guidance (FY22 Apportionments Notice) published April 28, 2022, announced changes in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) programs in accordance with amendments to Federal public transportation law by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (enacted as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA)). The IIJA authorized surface transportation programs of the Department of Transportation (DOT) for Federal fiscal years (FY) 2022 through 2026 and provides advance appropriations for certain programs. The FY22 Apportionments Notice included preliminary implementation instructions and guidance for the new and revised programs in FY 2022, announced the funding apportionment for programs authorized and funded with FY 2022 contract authority and appropriations, and described future plans for several competitive programs.
