FY 2012 VTCLI Grant Program Details
For the Fiscal Year (FY) 2012 Veterans Transportation and Community Living Initiative (VTCLI) grant program, FTA is making $25 million of FY 2012 Section 5309 Bus and Bus Facilities funds, as well as approximately $5 million of FY 2011 Section 5312 Research Program funds available, subject to funding availability.

Award Details
FY 2012 VTCLI grants can consist of two separate awards. Each applicant may request:
- Up to $2 million in S5309 funds for One-Call/One-Click Transportation Resource Center capital costs
- Up to $50,000 (or 50% of S5309 request if less that $100,000) in S5312 funds for support costs such as marketing, outreach and coordinated planning to demonstrate the successful implementation of a One-Call/One-Click Center. Requests for S5312 funding will not be considered without a S5309 capital project proposal.
Local Match
Section 5309 capital project costs will be shared by the FTA at a maximum 80% federal/20% local ratio. In other words, grant requests for $2 million must have at least a $500,000 local share commitment. Section 5312 research grants will not require a local match.
Application Deadline
The application deadline is 11:59 pm April 19, 2012. In order to ensure all electronic forms are correctly completed and processed in Grants.gov, applicants are advised to submit applications at least 72 hours prior to the deadline.
