Can I extend the period of performance on a GSA contract? The contract expires this September but the contractor's GSA contract was renewed.

If there is an existing GSA contract for services, you could issue an task order now under that contract that might not be completed until past the POP date of the GSA contract, but this would be acceptable (1) if the GSA contract allowed for that, (2) the task could not be terminated in September without some detriment to your agency, and (3) you have to begin the work now, not wait for a new contract to be awarded.
