Overview
Public transit is a safe form of transportation. To help ensure the continued safety of our nation's public transit systems, FTA strives to provide useful information and resources for transit agencies to prevent and address crime in their systems, including customer assaults.
FTA has provided below a summary of some of the data from the National Transit Database regarding assaults on transit customers.
