The CCAM Vehicle Resource Sharing Policy Statement, published on October 1, 2006, clarifies that Federal cost principles do not restrict grantees to serving only their own clients but rather that they enable grantees to share the use of their own vehicles if the cost of providing transportation to the community is also shared. In this policy statement, the CCAM resolves that federally assisted grantees that have significant involvement in providing resources and engage in transportation should coordinate their resources in order to maximize accessibility and availability of transportation services.
