The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) is constructing a 3.92-mile, double track heavy rail transit line below Wilshire Boulevard in the cities of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills with three new underground stations, a new maintenance-of-way building, and a non-revenue vehicle maintenance facility at the existing Metro Division 20 Yard. This is the first phase of the three-part Westside Purple Line Extension.
