The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) is constructing a 2.59-mile, double track heavy rail transit line below Wilshire Boulevard in the cities of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills with two new underground stations, as well as the purchase of 20 heavy rail vehicles. This is the second phase of the three-part Westside Purple Line Extension.
