Westside Purple Line Extension Section 2 Project Profile
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) is constructing a 2.59-mile, double track heavy rail transit line below Wilshire Boulevard in the cities of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, with two new underground stations, as well as the purchase of 20 heavy rail vehicles. The two stations will be located at Wilshire/Rodeo Drive and Century City Constellation area. The project is the second section of a planned 8.9-mile extension (to be built in three sections) of the Metro Purple Line to Westwood/Department of Veteran Affairs Hospital complex.
