The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) is planning to extend its heavy rail system to the Westwood/Veterans Hospital area. This third phase of the Westside Purple Line Extension begins at the future Century City Station, which is part of the Westside Purple Line Extension Section 2 project.
