Alternative Transportation in Parks and Public Lands Program Manual

The Alternative Transportation in Parks and Public Lands (ATPPL) Programfunds capital and planning expenses for alternative transportation systems in national parks and public lands. ATPPL is a new program, authorized by the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU), which was enacted on August 10, 2005. The program is administered by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), in partnership with the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service (USFS). This manual is the primary reference guide for ATPPL.
