Summary
Federal public transportation law (49 USC 5311(c)(1)(A)) authorizes the competitive amount of the Public Transportation on Indian Reservations Program (Tribal Transit Program or TTP). The competitive grants under FTA's TTP allow tribes to buy transit vehicles, upgrade bus facilities, and expand transit options.

Eligibility
- Eligible applicants include Federally recognized Indian tribes and Alaska Native Villages, groups, or communities as identified by the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Submission Requirements & Deadlines
- A complete proposal submission will consist of at least two files:
- (1) SF-424 Application for Federal Assistance (available at Grants.gov).
- (2) Supplemental form for the FY 2024 Tribal Transit Program.
- A submission may contain additional supporting documentation as attachments.
- An applicant must submit a proposal electronically through Grants.gov by 11:59 PM ET on 11/13/2024.
- Applicants should register on the Grants.gov website well before the application deadline, as it is a multi-step process that may take several weeks to complete.
- Applicants who have already registered in Grants.gov may still need to take steps update their registration before they can submit an application.
