The Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA), proposes to implement an 8.0-mile bus rapid transit (BRT) line connecting Downtown Memphis, the Memphis Medical District, and the University of Memphis. The project includes two miles of exclusive bus lanes, 16 stations, 31 stops, nine 40-foot electric vehicles with two-door boarding, and electric charging equipment.
