Re: EEO Compliance Review – July 23-25, 2007

Dear Mr. Wiley:

Thank you for your responses to the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) site visit and exit conference findings of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Compliance Review conducted from July 23-25, 2007 of the Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT). We are pleased to inform you that the Federal Transit Administration’s Office of Civil Rights has accepted all of the corrective actions and has closed out this Compliance Review. Enclosed is the final report that incorporates RT’s corrective actions. As of the date of this letter, the final report became a public document and is subject to dissemination under the Freedom of Information Act of 1974.

We recognize the efforts that RT has made in response to the Compliance Review findings. Among other actions taken, RT has developed procedures to monitor EEO compliance of its major subcontractors and conducted an assessment of employment practices in accordance with FTA Circular 4704.1

We appreciate RT’s efforts to integrate concern for civil rights into its employment policies and practices. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or Sandra McCrea, Chief, External Operations Division at (202) 366-0803 or at her electronic mail address: Sandra.McCrea@dot.gov
