This issue includes FTA’s recently published Dear Colleague letter on the Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) compliance deadline and a feature article on Safety Risk Management requirements for Agency Safety Plans. It also includes information on the Joint State Safety Oversight (SSO) and Rail Transit Agency (RTA) Workshop, the availability of new PTASP fact sheets, and a summary of FTA’s participation at the 2019 APTA Rail Conference. In addition, there is a new “Data Spotlight” feature with a focus on derailments; upcoming speaking events, workshops, and webinars; available safety training; and more.
