In December 2021, the City of Ames City Council adopted its Climate Action Policy Statement and Goals to commit to reducing community GHG emissions by maximizing public transit ridership, supporting low-carbon active transportation modes, and reducing GHG emissions and consumption of fossil fuels from its fleet of vehicles.
