Evacuation and Return: Increasing Safety and Reducing Risk (Report 0137)

This case study evaluates a city's evacuation strategy by testing the city's ability to prepare for and execute an effective evacuation. This project was undertaken in an effort to improve the ability of cities to implement effective evacuation planning and improve execution of the evacuation process. It is hoped that the insights gained through this research may prove beneficial to communities throughout the country facing similar challenges.
