Technical Assistance (TA) Center Collaboration

In August 2024, the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Rural Communities Opioid Response Program TA Center invited FTA’s National Rural Transit Assistance Program to present at their Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Learning Collaborative Session. | |
In August 2024, FTA’s National Center for Mobility Management (NCMM) co-presented with FTA on the CCAM and NCMM’s mobility management tools for one of the U.S. Department of Justice’s TA centers, the Center for Children and Family Futures. | |
In June 2024, NCMM hosted their annual Mobility Management Forum. More than 150 attendees joined in-person and virtually, and included mobility managers, transportation coordinators, community health workers, people working in mobility within State departments of transportation (DOTs), transportation agencies, organizations supporting older adults, and more. | |
In 2023, the American Public Human Services Association and their member, the Perry County Job & Family Services, had a “meet & greet” with FTA’s NCMM. The meeting allowed the attendees to discuss rural transportation solutions and determine future collaboration opportunities. |

After a March 2020 stay-at-home order went into place, Lake County Mobile Food Pantry program connected with Laketran to help deliver groceries to older adults with no access to food or transportation. This partnership between the local FTA, Administration for Community Living, AmeriCorps, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) grantees has continued through September 2024 and provided services for over 4,600 Lake County seniors.
