This report presents an overview of the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on transit accessibility and on transit trends. The House and Senate Appropriations Committees directed FTA to 1) report on the ways COVID-19 impacted transit agencies and transit riders throughout the Nation, including historically disadvantaged communities (P.L. 117-328, JES P.49), and to 2) report on transit ridership levels from 2019 to present and an assessment of anticipated future trends and needs in the transit industry (P.L. 117-328, JES P.50).
